This is a very exciting email from Tedi Posladek.
Again...parents helping parents adjust while the kids are having a great time. Woke up to this picture and email from Matt's host family. It was exciting to actually see him on the trip and thought I'd share it. It also relieved me a great deal to realize how considerate they were and that they realize how hard it has been to let our children go so far from home. We did get an email from Matt the other day (with about a 24-hour delay) but it was far less "newsy" than others so didn't bother to post it.
Dear Scott and Tedi
Thought I'd let you know that my son Laurie and I picked up Matthew this evening and he is now safe and sound and settled in our home and is already getting some instruction on the Nintendo Wii (see attached)! My wife Juliet and I find Matthew a charming and polite young man and have no doubt he will be a delightful house guest for a couple of days. Thank you so much for the gift and card - he also brought us a gift from Fiji - you have done a great job with him! It must have been very difficult to say goodbye - rest assured he is in good hands and certainly seems very happy and to be having a great trip.
Very best wishes
Leon Ruttersmith
