More Camera Woes

Note From Editor: How is it these kids are responsible enough to go oveseas and yet can't keep track of their camera?!?!

We talked with Jonathan this morning and it sounds like so much fun. He liked the sail boat and the snorkeling. Jon is loving the food. He has always liked to try new things. All of you that are having phone problems please don't feel bad. We did it all correct with all the access numbers, hand written instructions and practice. Guess what, the sprint phone cards don't work on Fiji. He would just get other people using cards in other parts of the world! Let's hope for better luck on NZ and AUS. We also have a camera story. At the waterfall, each had a trash bag to keep things dry. Jon's had a hole. Say BYE-BYE digital camera and off to get disposables. May need picture help if he has areas he missed and wants photos. This is fun to keep up with all of you. Back to a past post, Jon had his luggage and I sooo wanted to ask if he had changed his underwear. That question will remain a mysteries from all the boys.

The waterfall probably helped if he hadn't changed. ;)

I must say that even though we are feeling that our daughter has totally ditched us, we are so excited that some of you are actually in some form of contact with your child. I also want to add that I have been thoroughly entertained with the banter in the blog!
:0)

I will admit that I had a hard time adjusting with the "my little girl is "really" growing up factor for a few days and this blog has been such a blessing. As otherwise, not hearing from my daughter, I would have been going CRAZY! Now I'm getting my daily dose of laughter! Thanks Chris and the rest of you for the humor!

I really look forward to seeing you all again and putting names to faces! I think in the future maybe the delegation should do some sort of "parent" social function sooner than the picnic. We don't really have lots of time to meet everyone at the meetings, and have too many questions.

Have a great evening!

Oh, if any of you that actually speak to your kids, could pass along a message to Maddy Gum to check her email if ever a chance that would be great! Thanks! :0)

Same with me- I agree with Melisa. Tell AJ to call his mom when he has a chance- and be ready to TALK. Ha Ha. I love all the Banter and humor! I am out of town with relatives and we are all enjoying it as I read it outloud!

But Melisa- you said "next time" by the way. You already planning on dishing out the bucks next year? If your daughter reads this she may think so!!! ;-)
I do agree IF there is a next time or for those who know there will be- a parent/child picture would be great posted on line so we can check the name and faces!

I will gladly organize a party at Shawnee Mission Park if anyone will help me.

For those of you that have not talked to your kids, the only way we were able to talk to Sarah was to call her. We called her twice around 9:30 fiji time. She was tired so both calls were brief and I really felt like we needed to talk to her but she was fine waiting until she got home to talk to us. I hope they get to sleep in on at their home visits.

Absolutely. If anyone wants their kids photo put on just email it to me. Try to keep the resolution relatively small. 72dpi and 2x3, for those "in the know". If you are not sure, just send me the photo and I'll take care of it.

"Note From Editor: How is it these kids are responsible enough to go oveseas and yet can't keep track of their camera?!?!" ooh, ooh, I have a good one: Our camera survived 3 weeks galavanting around in Europe but couldn't make it home from the Great Wolf Lodge, 10 minutes away!

Hi everyone! My "next time" comment may be just that I was referring to what I've heard we will have post trip? I thought I heard we would have a post picnic sometime after the trip? I do believe Maddy wants to do this again....but after becoming employed somewhere and having a couple of years to save up cash, so it's easier on us?! Who knows if anyone will even read this comment!
