Still In The Air!

Imagine this. We all came home and had dinner with our families last evening and got a good night's sleep. It's now 8:14 in the a.m. and I just checked on the P2P Quantas flight. It is now 1:15 in the a.m. in Nadi, Fiji (tomorrow, mind you) and the kids are still 3 hours and 40 minutes from landing.

And that is scheduled to be 15 minutes ahead of time. So it shouldn't be too long before we hear by phone that they have arrived safely!

By the way, I cannot say for sure but it looks like they had another lengthy delay at DFW. Suprise, suprise.

yes, they did have a delay at DFW. In fact, when Abby called us from there, they were told that the delay (new flight departure time of 9:30) would put them into LAX too late to make the flight to Fiji. The plan was to get the kids room in LA, give them food vouchers and attempt to get them all on the next flight this morning. She didn't call us back again until 1:24AM saying that she was on board the flight to Fiji. I was obviously asleep and didn't think to ask questions. Just glad they made the flight and wished her a great time. She sounded wide awake and excited. According to Quantas website, the flight took off ontime at 11:30PM and the estimated arrival time in Fiji is 4:55AM, 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Whew, sounds like all is well... finally! Please kindly share your kids' conversations. I'm a very over-protective Mom and word from any of the kids is going to build my peace of mind.

So much for Brenda calling as soon as they arrive! Maybe at lunch time?

Like she said. No news is good news. My guess is the schedule has them wall to wall. Fun is the word!
